PILLAR ONE: CAPABILITY

Can you prove you can do the work?

Being capable and being able to prove it are two different problems.

Be ready before the opportunity appears.

It always starts the same way. Someone asks for evidence - a tender, an accreditation application, a prequalification form, a head contractor's compliance pack - and the scramble begins.

The insurance certificate. The last three project completions. The referee who has moved jobs. The licence that expired in March.

The work you've completed isn't the problem. Finding the evidence of it, in the format the buyer asks for, is.

Government doesn't buy capability.

It buys evidence of capability.

Capability work is about having that evidence organised, current and defensible before anyone asks for it.

CAL Accreditation.

Contractor Accreditation Limited accreditation for contractors pursuing Northern Territory Government building and construction work. We manage the application against CAL's requirements at the rating level that matches the work you are targeting.

Prequalification & Tender Readiness.

Understanding the registrations, systems and evidence required for the work you're targeting - before an opportunity lands.

Capability statements.

What you do, where you have done it, who delivers it, and why your business is equipped for the work. Built around the evidence buyers look for - scope, project experience, personnel, systems, licences and insurances - not pages of marketing copy.

Company profiles and project records.

A reusable project record library covering scope, value, client, dates, role, outcomes and referees. Captured once, ready to use again.

Personnel and experience

CVs and role statements for key personnel, aligned to the roles and responsibilities buyers ask you to demonstrate, with qualifications and licences tracked so nothing is out of date when it matters.

Evidence libraries

We bring the pieces together - company information, project records, personnel, licences, insurances, accreditations and supporting evidence - into one controlled source. When something changes, you update it once. When an opportunity lands, you are not rebuilding the business from old submissions.

How it works

We start with what you already have.

Most established contractors are sitting on years of evidence in job folders, email threads and someone's head.

We pull that evidence together, work out what you have and what's still missing. If what you have doesn't support what you're trying to prove, we'll tell you.

Then we prepare it from the evidence you have.

What you'll have

You'll have what you need to go after the work.

Depending on the kind of work you're targeting, that might be a completed accreditation application, a prequalification submission, a capability statement, or project and personnel evidence that backs up what you say you can do.

Where the documents are designed to be reused, we'll provide them in a format you can maintain and update.

Proof

YCM has prepared capability statements, project portfolios and supporting evidence for contractors pursuing government, infrastructure and major-project work.

YCM-prepared work has supported a successful Power and Water Corporation panel appointment and CAL accreditation applications for NT contractors.

Let's work out what you need

Most contractors don't need everything at once - they need to know what will be asked for and what they don't currently have.

That's where we start.
